Top beard wax in 2018
Are you looking for the best beard wax in the market? Then we got you covered, find the best beard wax in the market with our honest review of top beard wax.
Produced in Portland, Maine, Stache Bomb Stache Wax is one of those products you just have to love because it was created by a man sick of inferior products. Jamin Badger grew out his mustache to combat the cold Maine winter of 2010, only to find that available mustache waxes didn’t do the job.
Like any enterprising American, Badger decided to make his own homemade mustache wax, and the rest is history.
Stache Bomb Stache Wax is made primarily of soft beeswax, with an underlying pine scent which many describe as citrusy. Stache Bomb is softer than most waxes on the market; it will keep mustache hairs out of your mouth and in place, but without the “caked” texture so many other waxes seem to provide.
Although the manufacturers have given this product the “gloss” moniker, Professor Fuzzworthy’s Beard Care Gloss and Conditioner is really a softer form of beard wax because of its beeswax base.
The wax comes from a single species of plant which grows in Tasmania, and it is then mixed with a number of oils including jojoba, castor and olive to create an impressive beard treatment.
Professor Fuzzworthy’s does not “cement” your beard as a classic wax product does; instead, it achieves the goal of controlling facial hair through a thorough conditioning process. As a bonus, this product relieves the itchy sensation many feel when growing out their beard for the first time.
Seven potion beard wax
There are times, despite our best efforts, when our facial hair seemingly has a mind of its own.
It becomes unruly, with beard hairs poking out or going in different directions, or it looks lifeless, with no shape.
Seven Potions feels your pain. But they also provide an excellent solution with their Beard Wax, which is an all-natural, all-organic styling wax that helps give your beard a look it deserves (even when it’s unruly).
What we like about it, among other things, is that it provides good hold without making your beard look stiff or unnatural.
Additionally, it’s loaded with ingredients that nourish your beard while relieving it of split ends, dandruff, and the dreaded beard itch.
Of course, it also improves the appearance of your beard, which certainly doesn’t hurt if you’re going on a first date, trying to impress someone of romantic interest, or in a job interview or other workplace meeting in which looking your best is of vital importance.
The Seven Potions Beard Wax is for use on your beard only – and not your mustache – and has a creamier, more buttery feel to it than mustache wax.
You’ll love the scent; it’s a blend of sandalwood and cedarwood that’s called “Woodland Harmony.” It’s not overpowering, but not so subtle that you never notice it. Others will like it, as well.
- Provides excellent hold that’s not too stiff
- Gets rid of beardruff, split ends, itching, etc.
- Designed specifically for use on beards
Organic coconut oil, organic palm oil, organic jojoba wax, organic peach kernel oil, cocoa butter, avocado butter, palm free vegetable glycerin, vitamin E, cedarwood, sandalwood, natural essential oils.
FISTICUFFS CIGAR BLEND MUSTACHE WAX
The Southern California company Fisticuffs LLC takes men’s facial hair very seriously, as evidenced by its motto, “Grave Before Shave.”
Their Cigar Blend Mustache Wax also shows their commitment to men’s grooming. The stuff is good.
While it’s not an (all) natural mustache wax like many of the other high-quality products available – it contains a bit of petroleum jelly to help with the ‘hold’ – it delivers quality in all the important categories, not the least of which is its scent.
What’s so good about its smell? Just look at its name.
Cigar Blend Mustache Wax combines vanilla and cigar (yes, cigar) in a unique fragrance that’s hard to beat.
OK, not everyone loves the smell of a good cigar, although it’s hard to resist, that shouldn’t be your sole reasoning for choosing another wax. But the cigar scent in the Fisticuffs’ wax is far from overpowering.
If you’re not a fan of ‘heavy’ waxes, this wax is a good choice for you. It’s has a softer texture than most other mustache/beard waxes and can be applied to your facial hair after only a few seconds of softening it between your fingers.
It’s also for you if you like a hold that’s not too stiff. You can still get the kind of hold you prefer, only with a softer feel.
But if you’re looking for the strongest hold available, Cigar Blend Mustache Wax may not suit your needs.
